I am going to tell you a scary story.
So scary that I want you to close the curtains so I do not need to worry.
AND! Don’t dim the light, please DON’T touch the light. I will finish in a hurry.
Huh!? What was that?! ….. Oh nothing, just the sound of a lorry.
Now stay, don’t go and hear the story.
It was deep in the night
Nothing out there but the stars so bright
It was warm inside so I decided to go out and buy frost ice bite
I put on my shirt and step into my pants so tight
I stepped outside, the atmosphere was so quite
Few birds whistled, butts of insects ignite
My shadow moved in its full height
Something moved very fast in the dark in white
I quicken my stairs trying not to have a full view of the site
Who goes there? What was that?
My heart sank in flat
My blood shot up fast
I cannot stand one on one with a ghost in a combat
Half way the path, should I go home or should I go to the Mart
The thing moved again like a flash so fast
Now looked like there was a grenade in my heart
Eyes open wide, looked up the branches and something up there like bats
It moved again, Oh it was a cat, white cat
I became calm but worrying
My heart was pumping
My head was spinning
My eyes were flashing and dazing
My footsteps were now jumping
Ok I turned to go home halfway the scary path, now running
Then I heard it
Who?! … Something said, not in a wit
I paused, turned, froze, I was fully scared now I admit
Who?!… It said again and this time louder a bit
I started sweating in the cold like a brit
I turned left, turned right as I made for a sprint
I ran fast, feet not touching the ground
My leg touched something, BANG! my face, whole body down
My eye spinning round and round
A big who from the same sound
Raised my head and OMG!! It was an owl
I felt the pains in my bowel
If only I could find a stone in the dark for the owl.
Don’t laugh, it is not funny when fear grips you, just say AWWWW
